Perhaps i can help. Matt 24:45 says "Who really is the Faithful and Discreet Slave to whom his master appointed his domestics....". This was really a question that not even Jesus knew who the were. The only way that JESUS knows is seeing the ones that are giving the "food at the proper time" apon his return. And when the "master" (Jesus) arrives, he will see as to who is doing what with his "belongings". And he will also see as to who the "evil slave" is and what they are doing.It could be some of us on this website spending most of our time indoors complaining on this site, when we could be spending time talking to others about the truth and exposing the "son of destruction" in "the temple of The God". The remaining ones of the 144,000 ARE doing the works that Jesus commissioned them, But it is the Governing Body that is being exposed as satens tool influencing all the brothers worldwide through the books and mags.The evidence is shown in the sublimminal artwork in the "Knowladge Book", "The Draw Close To Jehovah Book" and the "Live Forever Book". And publications before this had the false prophcies in- all under the Governing Body. As far as I know, there is only ONE of the 144,000 housed in Brooklin. The Watchtower is now run by the so-called "great crowd".So, the Governing body is NOT the faithful and discreet slave. As to whom the 144,000 are ,we will not know for sure.There are many professing to be part of the group. If the person dies for truth Jehovahs way, then he stands a chance to be either in heaven or earth.And it will be Jesus himself doing the choosing, and not us.Keith

for those who may not remember my previous posts, i'm someone who has been studying with the jw's for about two years but didn't commit (i.e., get baptized) because, as i thought then, i was just too selfish and cowardly to join up with the jw's.
that's before i found this site and watched the dateline video on the child molestation problem.

1914 question
by drew sagan input aside all of the 607 b.c.e., there is another question that i'm not familiar with and mabyee some of you know what there explanation is, or if they don't even address the issue.
we are all familiar with the account in daniel chapter five, and nebuchadnezzars dream about the tree.

I hope that I can help you on this one. If the whole chapter 4 was read and chapter 5:20+21, we do read there that the "tree" was nebuchadnezzar himself and the "seven times" was passed over him until he knew that Jehovah was the "most high is ruler in the kingdom of mankind" (Jehovah) Did the "seven times" pass over nebuchadnezzar? yes it did! Verses 34+35 of chapter 4 and verses 20+21 of chapter 5 confirms this. It was HIS rulership on earth that was taken away and returned back to him.It also stated that nebuchadnezzer would get "wet" which happend whilst spending time,not in his palace, but in the fields eating like a bull. The bands around the tree ment that his kingdom would still survive without him for a while,up to the point that he admitted the world really belongs to Jehovah and not him. Then his kingdom was returned back to him alongside with his kingly backup.So, we can ask, where did the 1914 come from. History shows the C.T Russel did the calculations from the Great Pyramid. When he died, Judge Rutherford wanted to carry on the 1914 idea, but he could not use the Pyramid anymore as it is a pagen monument by the Egyptions. Then he came up with the Daniel prophecy and BACKDATED from 1914 the "seven times" and took it to 606bc. This changed later to 607bc.Seeing now that the 607bc is not true,the truth about what REALLY happened to Nebuchadnezzer is comming more to light. So, there is no more 2520 years for the "seven times" calculations.And as to the "seven times" that passed over Neb.,we will not know how long they were, due to the fact that Neb did not even reailise that his kingdom has had allready been taken away from him, which resulted him to go in the fields and to eat lik a bull. Fairy tales - unsuspected effects on children?
by Spectrum ina couple of years ago there was an article on tv discussing the possible negative effects that that fairy tales can have on children especially girls.
i don't remember it very well but basically they were saying that fairy tales, especially the ones that involve beautiful girls or princesses, put unnecessary pressure on little girls from a very young age to have to look pretty if they are going to get their prince charming or do well in general in real life.
it makes sense because it seems to fall under the category of conditioning and it's easy to condition children.

Hi. if we all think about it, they are FAIRY stories. They call them Fairy Stories because the stories soften up what they really are. They are usally stories about fairys or imps or the big bad wolf trying to eat a girl,all the stories that our God disapproves of. When these are taught to little children, they will get a sense that it is all right to hear them when Jehovah disaproves of them. There are even stories with a touch of magic in them. And we all know how God feels about that. Ring a Ring a Roses was about the Black Death that killed thousands of people- but the child does not know that. Its like telling a child the Santa Clause goes through the letter boxes on Xmas eve and puts presents on her bed, which we know it is a lie. Some stories do have a truth behind it, but grown ups present it as a lie to the child. All the rest of the Fairy Stories are lies. Parents tell the child about the tooth fairy to swop teeth for money, when it is really the parent that leaves a small coin behind. Therefore the parent lies to the child, and the child learns how to lie as when the child grows up, they to tell their children about the tooth fairy. All fairy stories are realistcly based on lies, which we all know the the Devil, Saten is the father of the lie. See John 8:44

she comes by at the exact same time every two weeks to drop of the new wts, reads some scripture, asks how i'm doing, blah blah blah.. i'm pretty polite to her, but i'm ready to kick it up a notch.
any suggestions for something i could start with?

As we can see the lower half of the picture has a fire breathing dragon, even we heard that it was ment to be a furnace. Get amirror image runnng down the page from the right hand side of the top chimminy pot of fire, and a wild beast having sex with another wild beast.
